Have a look at this site. Ok, now if you do not know the story of the Allison family and their fate on the Titanic or if you know a little, then what is being claimed by the owner of this site is probably intriguing. Maybe it leaves you wondering ‘What if it’s true?’…..
Then bear with me while I attempt to set you off on a journey of your own to find the real truth.
What astounds me is that anyone is prepared to believe these incredible claims . If they carried out just the smallest amount of research then very quickly the entire story just collapses, even without the need for DNA.
If we accept that Ms. Woods did start out believing her grandmothers story, and who can blame a little girl for that, we must also accept that she herself has time to carry out research.
We are told about a ‘Suitcase’ full of amazing things which back the claims up. We are being asked to wait until it is “All published”. In the meantime we get soundbites and sensational claims and statements.
One claim is so heinous that a direct living relative of Evangeline Kramer (and indeed of Ms. Woods herself), and Dr. Lester Walsh, is being asked to accept that his grandfather was a peadophile.
We are asked to believe the impossibilty, for that is all it can be, of Mr Thomas Andrews escaping the Titanic and ending up in England with Loraine where he “Raised her as his own”. All without being recognized! This outrageous claim alone causes a total collapse of the whole thing and proves it to be nothing but a lie. This alone should at least set alarm bells ringing in everybodies mind.
We are being asked to believe that Loraine forgot who she was, who her parents were and that she had a brother. Despite the fact she was nearly three. We are being asked to believe she then just took Hyde to be her father. Really? Think about it. She forgot her name, her family and anything else about herself and her previous life. Can you truly take that seriously?
Now what I am asking you all to do is go read the information and claims on Ms. Woods site. Go read her posts on Encyclopedia Titanica http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/forums/titanic-news/8524-helen-loraine-allison-kramer-survivor-titanic-mystery.html

Then please, reasearch everything starting from the night of the sinking. Then your eyes will open to the real truth.

Now Ms. Woods is so obviously backing out and trying to save face. See the above threads for details. Look how some fawn over her every word it is sickening. Please people, just examine the details of the claim from the very begining and you will see very quickly that the whole thing is a shameful lie.

Save the image to your own computer and note that Lester’s mother’s name is Evageline Irene Lee Hyde
Her birth place is given as “Calumet – Michigan” so why put that if she always thought she was born in the U.K?
You will also note that Lester’s birthdate is given as July 27 1918.
So, if his mother genuinely WAS little Loraine Allison this would have made her… 9 years and 1 month old and just 8 years and 4 months at the time of conception

I have recently been contacted by Ms. Woods who says she stands by her claims. All I see is a publicity stunt to gain interest in a book. Well, what a shock, a book before proof of claims via DNA. What bugs me is that people will buy it.
She also has a ‘cousin’ on board, what about the rest of her relations? I suspect they are far from supportive. This story is fiction; a deliberate deception from start to finish that is glaringly obvious to anyone with half a brain.

I am also a granddaughter of the Mrs. Kramer (Helen Loraine Irene Allison Walsh Ferguson Kramer….., I think that everything?) spoken of, as is Ms. Woods. I too had heard and lived with the stories most of my young life of my grandmother having been the surviving daughter of the Allison Family and how she was cheated out of her rightful fortune. That was always the major topic of discussion. What drew my attention to this read was simply the heading of “It’s not about the money……”. Right, sure it’s not. Not sure who you are but thanks for the smile.
Thanks for the comment Deanne. I just wish Ms. Woods would come clean. I know I keep repeating myself, but just a tiny bit of research would have shown the story for what it is, a lie. I just wish I could believe it was started in innocence but I just can not.

Hi Gayle, I will be more than happy to provide you any assistance I can. My mother’s name (as is listed on my birth certificate as should be on Debrina’s although Debrina is not her birth name) is Adele Dorothy Ferguson which would relate to a Beacher Ferguson as being my mothers Father.

Did nobody notice a man with an Irish accent having a little girl with a Canadian accent? Surely Loraine would have been distressed at suddenly not having her parents and being with a stranger – most (almost) three year olds would not just accept this new carer.
Did nobody on Carpathia see Loraine – not the servants who survived or friends of her parents who were saved.
Did none of the Allison relatives waiting at New York reconise their little Loraine? Surely they waited until everyone was off the ship.

OMG, I just opened this email and couldn’t believe what I saw. Knowing Debrina, it doesn’t surprise me, but really! Her “Fans”, you’ve got to be kidding me! Not about the money!!! People are actually spending their hard earned money for these cheesy trinkets??? Why on earth would she even consider for one moment to take peoples money for such garbage…. really, a coffee mug???!!! For the church going christian she professes to be, this is taking things way beyond being seriously wrong.!!!!

What about Loraine giving birth to a baby in 1918 when she was 9 years old poor girl.
And the best news yet is that Debrina Woods is now retiring from whatever it is she did to write a novel and a screenplay oh goody but remember… its NOT about the money. Although one has to wonder how someone who was in such dire straits just a few months ago can actuallly be able to afford to retire. Jesus Wept!! As they say in Dragon’s Den I’m Out!!

She just won’t give up and tell us the DNA results … must be a deep dark secret like all of her other allegations . It will be good to finally see what proof she has in her binders of information . The Loraine Allison Identification Project
She did not survive the sinking; it is all fiction. We are being asked to believe an entire story, not just bits, but an entire story. This has been clear from day-one. All anyone needed to do was examine that story from it’s beginning on the Titanic and one would very soon prove beyond all reasonable doubt, that all we are dealing with is a set of lies culminating in a scam. DNA testing is so obviously a deflection away from the truth; Ms Woods should have been called out on this whole thing long ago. If I was a surviving relative I would have nailed this at its inception easily.
Interested in how you would have easily nailed this at its inception ???
Simple. Publicly dissect the story (she has laid it all out) and you can prove beyond any reasonable doubt that is can be no more than a total lie. Apart from the few conspiracy believing odd-balls, anyone else, who does not have a vested interest in going along with the lies, will see the truth and the story goes no further except as a work of fiction.
Challenge her to head to head discussions in public (on the radio, TV, newspapers, etc, etc). If she refuses to take part still use these mediums to prove the opposing case. She has been left virtually unchallenged for too long.
As for DNA, well there are direct living descendants, from both sides of Helen’s family and direct living descendants from Kramer who could be contacted to take part in testing. If I was a living relative I would have taken the lead in this as it is clear Ms. Woods is not in any hurry. She is obviously not bothered, all she wants is publicity for money making ventures. Leaving this to drag on and on is helping only Ms. Woods.
A direct debate ‘one on one’ appears like a no-win situation and feeds Debrina’s quest for personal family information. The debate has been going on for over a year. Courts are a different matter regarding answering not truthfully. Her grandmother left a suitcase, to prove a claim to her descendants, ‘letter written in the name of Thomas Andrews, George Allison and Arthur Flynn’ DW can plead an innocent victim, if challenged, and present the suitcase for her defence, regardless of whether she believes the story on not. So, she using this as an excuse to harass people. Can you really prove beyond a reasonable doubt in a public forum? This is such a forum and it hasn’t stopped what’s going on. As Debrina has stated, she will not answer direct questions. As for DNA, waiting over one year, then stating they were completed in June, then shouting fraud, without releasing these results is just more harassment. I’m sure this was the reason Tracy Oost started this project. She’s the first professional involved to date. So now there are 12 willing Allison DNA participants agreeing to a no-holds-barred open ended test. Will Debrina find an excuse not to participate? You bet…….
Personally, yes, I am certain this could be easily proved beyond all reasonable doubt to all be false, using the mediums I have stated. She would have been left with nothing. This could have been put to bed long ago.
It is good to hear there are people willing to submit to DNA testing. One of those who has responded to this blog is, I understand, an unhappy direct descendant of Kramer who could have been asked to take part too.
Regarding Debrina not participating, well, use it against her if it happens. Her prevarication is rapidly turning the tide against her and should be exploited. So far, all I see, is her getting what she wants; just not as smoothly as she hoped.

I need some help on finding as many mtDNA participants as possible and I am having a bit of struggle with finding some of the McCully family . I have been working on the family of James McCully and Rose Dixon. They had 7 children and 6 of them were girls. I have managed to track most of them down but just needed a bit of help and kind of thought maybe you would know some of my questions Do you know the McCully genealogy if I ask you a few questions ? I have tried asking on two other blogs that I know is McCully related but no answer .

Hazels gggrandmother Clara McCully married Adam Gross and they had 2 daughters. I can find Edna b 1888 up until 1910 and not after that and I am trying to find a marriage and children for her. The other daughter was Dorothy Helen and she married Wm B. Taylor in 1928 and had a son Wm b 1930 . I wondered if there were any more children for Dorothy and William or if I even have this correct.
I sure hope that I can get an answer soon .

Any “nasty” verbiage attributed to a rather “prolific titanic historian” points to but one conclusion-that they’re in cahoots together, with dear old Debrina writing the script.
Woods, with a history of “get rich quick” schemes under her belt, (check out her “airplane paint” grift-it’s a hoot)-is hysterically unwilling to accept defeat, still convinced that she’s but a butterfly’s breath away from true financial security.
Her self proclaimed “movie deal(s)!” Her self proclaimed, “soon to be published tell-all book!” (Her announced publication date; April, 2013!) Her pathetic desperation to join the “lifestyles of the rich and famous,” amongst whom she served as a mere cook for so many years-alas!
So UNWILLING is she to abandon the numerous years she spent constructing this carefully devised “Con”-this craftily created “Golden Goose”-that her financial desperation has now led to a: “Once I get the dough, you’ll get a fat slice” Devil’s agreement between her and the aforementioned “expert.”
